I  started E-commerce in September 2017.

The idea of having an online business that promises substantial earnings is both alluring and eyebrow-raising. It begs the question of whether or not it really is possible to not only make money online, but earn a substantial income from the comfort of your home.

Allow me to share my personal eCommerce success story of how I managed to make more than $2 million in revenue while navigating my eCommerce journey. Let’s explore the possibilities, challenges, and key lessons that have propelled my success.

First Thing’s First…

…Is eCommerce Lucrative?

If you’re seeking supplementary income alongside your day job, or if your aim is to establish a full-time online career from home – the world of eCommerce might seem like a dream.

However, it could also come across as an overhyped fantasy.

I first started my eCommerce journey in September 2017, and – in just two years – I exceeded $2 million in revenue. I’ve faced hurdles and numerous failures along the way, but my experience affirms that eCommerce can indeed generate substantial income.

The Reality of My Success…

Let’s be clear – building a thriving eCommerce business demands substantial effort and patience, much like any other business. Making money online is far from effortless. Otherwise, everyone and their cousin would be doing it. But there are a few factors that have been pivotal to my eCommerce success story, and I’d love to share some insight with you!

4 Keys that Unlocked My eCommerce Growth

  1. Learning from a Proven Mentor

One invaluable lesson I’ve learned is the importance of learning from a seasoned mentor with a track record of success. My mentorship fast-tracked my learning curve and allowed me to tap into the collective wisdom of fellow students in our mastermind group. Seeking guidance from those who’ve already succeeded in your chosen field is a crucial step toward replicating their results.

  1. Consistency and Persistence

The wisdom shared by marketer Glen Hopkins echoes in my mind – success is secured through equal parts of consistency and persistence. I was committed to pushing forward every single day, regardless of the roadblocks I encountered. This downright determination significantly contributed to my progress, and the time in which I found success.

  1. Resourcefulness

While resources play a role, it’s resourcefulness that sets you apart. My success in eCommerce was partly due to my ability to maximize any and all of my available resources. Creativity in problem-solving, making the most of what you have, and finding innovative solutions were some of the most essential elements of my progress.

  1. Overcoming Challenges

Facing adversity is inevitable in eCommerce. I confronted issues like Facebook account shutdowns and underperforming ads. However, the trick lies in not surrendering to setbacks. Instead, I persisted – pushing through these barriers with any willpower I could conjure.

7 Mega Secrets To Achieving Online Success http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/7-mega-secrets-to-achieving-online-success/ http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/7-mega-secrets-to-achieving-online-success/#respond Tue, 31 Dec 2019 12:57:26 +0000 http://new.marketingwithjustice.com/?p=898

You want to make a difference. You want to live a life that matters. To do that, you must stop letting every day slip away.

You must start your day with positive rituals that get you focused. Do the BIG things first. Eliminate temptations so that you remain focused. Own your day and control your future. I expect BIG things from you!
These are 7 secrets to success that will allow you to achieve those BIG goals!

1) Know Your Vision

You must know what you really want and that’s having your vision.

The vision is for your business and your family life. Know what you want out of life.

It’s interesting when people are beginners, they’ll say a sales goal but don’t really know how to get there. It’s one thing for you to say, “I want to have a thousand sales of my product” but if you don’t have a blueprint for it, you won’t get there. You need a complete vision like, “Here’s how I can actually achieve 50 sales from 20 people or 500 sales from 2 people.”

a goal

So think about it. Three years from now, where do you want your business to be?

Where do you want your family to be? What kind of relationships do you want to have or need to repair? What kind of workday do you want to have? Once you know what you want to build, then you can determine the tools and avenues to take to get there. That’s the most important part of the equation.

2) Know Your Marketplace

The second thing you need to know is your marketplace. You have to know your marketplace inside and out. You have to know what they want. You can’t take a square peg and try to put it into a round hole. You can’t force your product idea on the marketplace. You have to know what they want.

This is why I tell my coaching clients to write their sales copy first before creating their product because they’ll have a good idea if they can sell it or not. It’s much easier to put a couple of hours into thinking about your sales message than it is to putting a couple of months into creating a product that nobody wants.

What you think the world needs is probably not what they want. Don’t make that mistake. I’ve seen it made too many times. Even Amazon writes before creating. Amazon writes press releases for all their products before any are created, before any specs are even written up because they know they have to be able to sell it and hype it up before anybody is going to be interested in it in the first place. That’s very important.

Getting to know your marketplace is as simple as subscribing to magazines. For example, if your product deals with women and nutrition, subscribe to Women’s World magazine. It shows up every week. Get a subscription to Oxygen. It shows up every month. These are golden for getting to know women and nutrition.

3) Know Where Your Customers Are

You also need to know where your customers are, who’s got them and how you can get them. That’s the most important aspect of what you need to know about your customers. That might mean advertising to somebody else’s Facebook fan page or getting somebody else to be an affiliate for you.

Dan Kennedy had a good quote that said, “People’s problems are their hobbies.”Make Sense? If you buy one diet book, you’re going to buy ten diet books. Many people often don’t have success because they keep buying different books and they’ve turned their problem into a hobby.

Now you want to come along, solve their problem and be the last person they ever need to go to for information. But, it’s very important for you to understand that other people have your customers.

4) Know Yourself

You also need to know yourself, your skills, your strengths, your weaknesses. That will help you determine what you should be doing and what you shouldn’t be doing. If you’re not very good on video, you should not be trying to be the next Mike Chang. There’s just no point. If you’re not the type of person who can sit down for 30 minutes, you’re not going to be the type of person who’s going to build a website around SEO. You need to know what you’re good at and get other people to do the stuff you’re not good at.

So you really need to have some introspection. Think about yourself, your skills, and your experiences. Be honest with yourself. Then you can cross off the things you’re not going to do. You don’t have to do as much as you think to be successful.

If you’re a great networker, a great schmoozer, by all means get out to as many events as possible. You’ve got an unfair advantage over the people that are not because that way, you don’t even have to be a great copywriter, you don’t have to be great at YouTube videos. If you know a lot of people and you’re a go-giver, people are going to want to help you. They really will. It’s so much easier for someone to want to help somebody when they’ve met them in person.

Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom

5) Know Your Allies

The next thing you need to know are your allies. Those are your web people, your team and affiliates. You have to know who will help you build success.

A Goal without a Plan is just a Wish

6) Know Your Plan

You need to know your plan and you need to take action to implement it. With the right tools and the right mindset you will find success. Sometimes it’s hard, but it can be simple with a plan. You just have to put your head down and grind, that’s what it’s all about.

You also need to listen to those who have “been there, done that”. Don’t reinvent the wheel. One of the most important messages that I tell to anybody that buys fat loss product from me is just follow the instructions. Don’t over think it. Get the rituals in place. Get the good habits in place. Eliminate the bad ones. Eliminate the temptations from your life. It’s the same for you. To succeed, it’s often the eliminations of the bad things more than it is the implementations of the good things.

Eliminate the time-wasters in your life, the negative people. If you eliminate those two things, I bet you you’ll double your business by this time next year, if not sooner. Get rid of the bad then work on the good. Sometimes, that’s more important.

7) Know Your End Point

The seventh and final thing you need to know is your endpoint. What is your end game for all of this? This is part of your vision. Know what you’re willing to do and what you’re not willing to do. Know your vision, your endgame. Know the level of success you want, and the lifestyle you want. When you know you’re endgame and use all these steps you will reach success and happiness. So many of you in our mastermind group are living proof of this.

That’s it guys. Those are the seven things you need to know: Vision, What you want, Your marketplace, Your customers, Yourself (that’s really important), Your allies, Your plan and Your endpoint. If you know those things, you’re going to succeed.

How To Successfully Maintain Your Email List http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/how-to-successfully-maintain-your-email-list/ http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/how-to-successfully-maintain-your-email-list/#respond Sat, 28 Dec 2019 20:31:48 +0000 http://new.marketingwithjustice.com/?p=863

So, you’ve got an email list.

Now comes the hard part, maintaining your email list.

You didn’t think your list just took care of itself as you built it, did you?

Because it doesn’t.

Once you have a steady stream of subscribers opting into your list, you work isn’t done. In fact, it’s just getting started.

Remember, when it comes to email lists, bigger doesn’t always mean better. There’s no point in having a list that has low open and click rates, lots of spam notifications and is generally unresponsive.

You’re never going to make any money selling to a list like that.

So, you need to focus not only on constantly building your list, but also maintaining it. And maintaining it means making sure that everyone on your list is active and engaged. If they aren’t then you need to work on either trying to reengage them, or remove them from your list for good and move on.

If you haven’t already been working on maintaining a healthy email list the good news is you can start right now. I’m going to give you a couple of my best tips on how to do it.

Ready to start?

Here are 6 ways to maintain your email list like a professional marketer:

#1. Clear Out Inactive Subscribers

It can be painful removing people from the list you worked so hard to build.

But, guess what?

You’ve got to do it.

Removing inactive subscribers is an important part of maintaining a healthy email list.

Here is where you have to start getting a little bit comfortable with your data, even if you aren’t a “numbers guy,” the numbers matter. You want to constantly be checking out the reports on your email list to see how healthy it actually is.

Every email service provider will have reports where you can see the basics of who is clicking and who isn’t. You need to schedule a time (at the minimum every six months), to go through this list and remove the people who haven’t taken any action.

If after six months they haven’t even opened a single email, you’ve got to either let them go or try working on a reengagement campaign (we’ll cover that more in depth below).

Remember, it doesn’t matter how big your list is, if no one is actually opening or clicking your emails! Keep your list as active and healthy as possible to help pad your bottom line.

#2. Remove Fake or Spam Accounts

We know the biggest thing that matters when it comes any email list is the not so much the number of people on the list, but more that they are the right people.

The right people are going to read your emails, click on those links, and yes buy your products or services. When you have an entire list of those people, you’re on the right track.

The reality? Most brands and marketers aren’t seeing those types of actions on their email lists.

Chances are you probably have (slightly) more than a handful of subscribers on your list that are phantom or spam accounts. How can you tell?

Look for email addresses that look like “sales@randomcompany.com” or “postmaster@mycompany.com.” These are commonly referred to as email distribution addresses, and 99.9% of the time you’ll never hear back from them.

Another common issue is misspellings.

Your list probably has some emails spelled incorrectly. It’s not uncommon to see things like “gmial,” “yhaoo” and “htmail” addresses (you catch my drift), rather than the correct spellings.

Sometimes someone may have great intentions of joining your brand’s email list but simply messed up along the way.

No matter their intentions, if their email address is wrong they will never actually get your messages. So, they’ve got to go!

#3. Monitor Bounces

Another common issue that often plagues email lists are bounce rates. Every email service provider will give you a basic report that highlights email bounces.

You want to check out these bounced emails and investigate a bit further. After all, having a high bounce back rate can easily blow up the return on investment (not to mention the sender reputation) of your email list.

And no one wants that to happen.

Instead, see why the emails are bouncing. More often than not, it will be because of one of the issues above, a messed up email address, or a spam account.

Occasionally, it could just be a server issue, if that’s the case, you don’t want to be so quick to delete the email, try to resend it later.

If the problem still happens, then you can clear them off the list.

The last thing you want is to have a high bounce rate. When that happens, you get labeled as spam, which can kill your reputation inside your email service provider.

#4. Reengagement Campaigns

Before you officially remove anyone from your email list, consider running a reengagement campaign. This is a last ditch effort to see if the people who have been inactive on your list aren’t just that “into” you.

Common reengagement campaigns include a message that would say something like…

“We haven’t heard much from you lately…because of that here’s a 20% off coupon.”

Or…

“We noticed you subscribed to our email list, but haven’t read any of them in a while. So, unless you click the button below (or reply via email) we’re going to go ahead and remove you from our email list.”

Emails like this can generally grab a handful (or more) of subscribers who were on the fence about unsubscribing, but can get sucked back in.

Try creating a quick one off email that offers a discount or gives a heads up that you’re going to be moving forward with your email campaign…without them.

#5. Make it Easy to Unsubscribe

But….what?

As much as you might hate the idea of losing any of the precious names on your email list, from time to time, people will want to unsubscribe.

It’s a fact of life, and happens to every brand and marketer out there. So when someone does want off your list, you need to make it easy for them.

Why?

Because you never want someone to think it’s easier to click “report as spam” over “unsubscribe.”

When someone clicks “report as spam” even if your email isn’t spam, you’re going to get dinged on your reputation. You want to avoid that at all costs.

So, make it really easy and obvious to your subscribers on how they can unsubscribe if they want to. Otherwise, if they take a quick look and can’t find a way, you may start seeing spam notifications.

#6. Always Look to Improve

No email campaign is perfect (even mine), so no matter who runs the list there are always going to be chances to make an improvement.

The key is being willing to do it.

Now, you might have a nice sized list, send off your emails and don’t worry about the rest.

But, do you ever wonder from time to time if you could sell even more than you are now? Or why you didn’t get quite the results you were hoping for on your last autoresponder series? Maybe you noticed that your last email had more subscribers than usual?

If the answer is yes, then congratulations, you have room for improvement.

Take the time on a quarterly basis to sit down and go over your email marketing strategy. Look for the areas where you know you can improve, look at the data and see what it is telling you that you didn’t know, see if you can spot anything that jumps out.

Sure, there will be times where there is nothing you can do to get a subscriber back…

…but there are also opportunities for you to be constantly improving your campaigns and strategies to keep your list growing at a robust rate and full of subscribers who are active and engaged.

That covers some of the basics of maintaining a healthy email list to help get you started.

Follow some of these tips, and incorporate a few of your own and you’ll notice your list will have a lot more active readers, less spam, and fewer bounces.

11 Email Marketing Campaigns Every Business Should Be Running http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/11-email-marketing-campaigns-every-business-should-be-running/ http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/11-email-marketing-campaigns-every-business-should-be-running/#respond Sat, 28 Dec 2019 20:23:37 +0000 http://new.marketingwithjustice.com/?p=855

Too many brands are blowing it when it comes to email marketing. They’ve got to stop.

Truth is, in today’s marketing if you don’t have any email marketing campaigns you’re likely missing out on money.

A lot of money.

No one likes that. Smart marketers are all about embracing email right now. And that doesn’t mean just banging out one autoresponder campaign and calling it a day.

Nope, that means they understand there are multiple email marketing campaigns they can use throughout the year. These campaigns are designed to give value to your subscribers and boost your return on investment over the long run.

These are examples of types of campaigns every single brand and marketer can use.

Ready to take a look?

Here are 10 email marketing campaigns to boost sales, retention and customer satisfaction:

# 1. The Welcome Campaign

This one should be pretty automatic for most sites. You’d think at least, but here’s a shocking stat: 33% of online retailers in the U.S. don’t send a welcome email.

Oof, not good. A welcome email is your first chance to make a good impression, don’t mess that up.

You never want to have someone sign up for your email list and not get anything back from you.

Ideally a welcome email will be included as the first email in your main autoresponder series. If it isn’t campaign like this can take care of that for you.

# 2. Shopping Cart Abandonment

Here’s another chance to dramatically improve sales and return on investment for online retailers and eCommerce shops: the cart abandonment campaign.

Sometimes visitors will head to your site and be all excited to buy until…

…they don’t.

Look, it happens. Sometimes they get cold feet, sometimes they get distracted before clicking “buy,” sometimes your site could have a glitch you didn’t even know about.

A shopping cart abandonment campaign will take care of that and more. You can use the campaign to remind people they have goods in their cart, ask if something went wrong, or even offer a coupon.

Need more proof? How about according to studies, almost 21% of cart abandoners will return back and buy (usually more).

# 3. Transactional Campaigns

These aren’t quite as “sexy” as some of the other campaigns, but they do the job just fine.

These types of emails will include:

  • Order confirmations
  • Delivery confirmations
  • Delivery tracking
  • Invoices
  • Receipts

Now, lots of marketers don’t realize there is a huge opportunity to be had with these types of emails to forge relationships, offer value and promote your brand.

Why? Because people open these emails at huge rates, up to over 70%. Don’t let the opportunity go to waste when it comes to making a connection (or taking a chance to sell) in these emails.

# 4. Sales Campaigns

You never want to miss a chance to tell your customers there is a sale. So why aren’t you sending out an email campaign letting them know?

If you’re not doing this, it can be a huge mistake.

You don’t want to just rely on people stumbling upon your website and discovering there is a sale. If you do it that way, you’re missing out on money in your pocket.

Plus, keep in mind some of the few things get people clicking emails like the idea of saving money on something. So set up a campaign to remind your list. Tell them you’ve got a sale coming, when the sale has arrived, and if they are going to miss out.

# 5. Lead Nurture Campaign

When most marketers think of email campaigns, the lead nurture is what they think of. This is the standard campaign most brands run.

The main goals of this type of campaign is you are building the foundation of a relationship with your list. Too many brands rush into the sell.

Don’t do that.

Instead really get into the heads of your list, understand their emotions, the needs that they have and that they might not be ready to buy…yet. When you can get to the heart of all that before you start pitching, you’re list is going to be much more receptive.

# 6. Testimonial Sequence Campaign

Some of the best tools you have for getting more sales are your current happy customers. Now, the question is, are you even using them in your campaigns?

If the answer’s no, get on the horn right now and start rounding some up. Ask them to give you testimonials, what they love about your product, service or brand. Ask them if you can use their story as a case study to share with others.

Get them involved.

Then round all your glowing testimonials into a campaign. Give your list buckets of proof from the all the happy customers who love what it is you do.

# 7. Referral Sequence Campaign

Remember when we said your happy customers are great sales tools? You shouldn’t have forgotten that already…

Anyway, they are. Not only because they can give you bucket loads of testimonials, they can also help you out with referrals.

Now, most people feel a bit awkward asking current customers for referrals, so they just end up avoiding it. Instead, why don’t you automate it?

Have a campaign that goes out to your current clients and gently ask for them to let you know about three people who would love your brand. It doesn’t even need to be three, it can be one person, that’s all it takes to make a difference in your bottom line.

# 8. An Onboarding Campaign

This is another one a lot of brands don’t do. It’s getting a lot more common in SaaS or other software type companies, but that doesn’t mean you can’t apply the same idea to your brand.

The biggest thing here is you walk new subscribers through your product or service. Tell them what they can expect from you. Tell them how they can use your product for the best results. Tell them your three favorite secret hacks that’s help your product make your life so much easier.

All that can make a difference. Plus it gives you a chance to really showcase your product and connect with your customers. A big win on both accounts.

# 9. Event Campaigns

This type of campaign can work for online and offline businesses. Think about that webinar you have coming up in a couple of days, have you sent your list a series to let them know it’s happening?

What about the speaker panel you’ve set up in two months. Have you sent out your invites and reminders?

Those are just two examples of how you can set up an event campaign. You don’t want to miss out on giving people a heads up you have an event coming up. Especially if you are using that event to generate sales or grab new prospects.

Don’t forget to tie in a few emails that follow up after the events as well. It’s a great way to grab a few extra potential customers.

# 10. Reengagement Campaigns

Reengagement has been getting more traction the last few years. Basically, it’s a good way to help “purge” your email list of people who aren’t interested and no longer opening or clicking.

After all, who wants to have a list of people who haven’t even opened one of your emails in eight months? The answer to that one is easy: no one.

If people aren’t engaging after a while, then it’s time to find out who they are and purge, purge, purge!

That’s where the reengagement campaign comes into play. Once or twice a year send these out to your list and use it to encourage them to come back and check out your site or buy.

#11. Customer Feedback Campaign

Customer feedback is sooooooo valuable. You are asking for it, right?

No? Get started.

First, you can get tons of awesome information from customer feedback. You’d be amazed at what your customers can tell you that you had no idea was happening or could be an amazing improvement.

Plus, it helps get those warm fuzzies going from your clients. Asking for their feedback shows you actually care. You want to know what they think and you want to improve their experience.

It helps showcase you’re all about them. Always a good move.

Well, there you have it.

I hope by showing you ten different email campaigns you can understand you have a ton of opportunities to interact with your list. Using email campaigns to improve your relationship with your list is going to have a positive return on investment.

14 Ways To Increase Your Email CTR By 50 Percent http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/14-ways-to-increase-your-email-ctr-by-50-percent/ http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/14-ways-to-increase-your-email-ctr-by-50-percent/#respond Sat, 28 Dec 2019 20:14:42 +0000 http://new.marketingwithjustice.com/?p=846

Getting website readers to subscribe to your email list is only half the battle. The real challenge is getting subscribers to actually click the links inside your emails.

This is where the action really happens.

Let’s face it, if you can’t get your subscribers to click, you’re missing out on customers. And money.

No one likes that.

But the fact of the matter is, a lot of marketers, bloggers and website owners are facing grim numbers when it comes to click through rates.

According to an Email Marketing Benchmarks study done by MailChimp, the average click through rates in email is hovering around 3%.

So, if you can increase those clicks by just a single percentage point, you’re going to be way ahead of the game (and reaping the results).

Now that sounds more like it.

The good news is there are things you can do to boost email click through rates. Here are 14 tips to get your subscribers clicking:

#1. Ask for the Click

Let’s start with the obvious.

If you want your readers to click on a link in your email, ask them to do it. If you aren’t doing it currently in your emails, here is where you can get a jump on seeing increased clicks. Don’t just leave a link hanging there, tell your readers what you want them to do.

Having a good call to action is vital when it comes to writing successful emails. Don’t skip out on that part.

#2. Use Questions

Asking a question in the subject line, will get readers interested.

Now, take it a step further and ask them a question in your email, encouraging them to respond. Even if you don’t offer an actual link to click right away, you can train your readers to click anyway by asking them to reply.

The simple act of asking a question will automatically get the mind engaged. That means they are far more likely to click to respond or find out the answer to a question.

#3. The P.S.

The P.S. has been used for decades by the masters of copy like Gary Halbert. But, don’t think it can’t be used in emails too.

By now, most people are trained to see where you want them to click in an email, but the P.S. can be a magical little space for more clicks.

After you close out your email, use the P.S. to write an entertaining mini story that ends with clicking your link.

#4. Use Curiosity

People are curious by nature, and when that curiosity strikes they have a pressing urge to close the information gap.

That’s a great thing for email marketing because it means curious people are far more likely to click. So use that tactic in your emails.

Offer just a sneak peek of something to build curiosity and then ask your readers to click to find out more.

#5. Give Value

I know you hear this time and time again, but pay attention, it’s important! Giving value to your readers is one of the best ways to get them clicking.

First, it’s going to establish trust. When you offer your readers those little extras (a great blog post, a pdf checklist) that apply directly to their needs you’ve already got a foot in the door.

It makes it a lot easier for them to click on your offerings the next time, knowing you’ve been giving them good stuff.

#6. Vary the Length

This is another trick you can try to see if it has an impact on your audience and who responds. There are times a super long and in-depth email can get readers so excited for what’s next it’s a no-brainer to click on the link.

But, there are other times a quick, short and punchy email that has just a line or two plus a link gets results. When readers see an email like that it’s pretty clear exactly what you want them to do (but don’t forget to say it anyway).

Adding variety of length to your emails is a good way to wake your subscribers up and pique their interest to see what’s coming up next.

#7. Speak Directly to Your Reader

As much as some of us would hate to admit it, we all know what everyone’s favorite topic is: themselves. So use that knowledge to make your emails and especially your click through call to actions not about you, but about them.

Not too long ago, ContentVerve did an interesting case study where they saw a “90% increase in CTR by changing one word in the button copy.”

What was the change? “You” to “my.” Instead of “click here to get your trial” try “click here to get my trial,” it makes a difference.

#8. Test, Test, Test

Yup, we’re back to that again. If you aren’t testing, you need to start, like now.

The only way to truly be able to see exactly what is working to increase the success of your click through rates is by testing. To start simply, try tweaking with the call to action and the actual link (or button) copy.

When something works, pat yourself on the back, and then test some more.

#9. Use Social Proof

One of the best ways to get people to do something is to tell them their friends are doing it too. You know, the whole “if all your friends were jumping off a bridge, would you?” phrase your mum pulled back in the day.

The irony is, psychology tells us that yes, most people would. Whoops.

The good news is we can use that psychology in the form of social proof to highlight to our readers that people who are just like them are taking action.

One common tactic is to use case studies and testimonials as part of the call to action and links themselves.

#10. Make it Clear

If you are stuck with incredibly low click through rates, take a look at your emails. Part of the problem could be the design hiding your links.

Since no one can tell where your links even are, it’s likely they won’t even know what should be clicked. If it looks like your links are getting lost in the design, you want to change that up, as soon as possible.

Your links should be so clear that anyone just skimming your email should know exactly where they are if they want to get clicking.

#11. Use Segmentation

One of your best defenses against poor click through rates is segmentation. You want to segment your main email list down into smaller groups that share similar interests and behaviors because they are going to be more likely to click.

Here’s an example: Your list is focused on people who want to lose weight. Knowing your audience and segmenting out say pregnant women can pay off.

Here’s why.

When you offer a product that teaches new mums how to dissolve baby fat, the “pregnant women” segment of your list is going to be very interested and you’ll see much higher click through rates (and purchases).

If you sent that product to your whole list, the rates would be dramatically different.

#12. Improve Subject Lines

The fact of the matter is, if you can’t get your subscribers to even open your emails, there is no way they are actually going to click on anything.

So, if you are seeing really low open rates (lower than 20%) you want to tackle that. One of the best ways to get more open rates is to kick your subject lines into gear.

Throw away your boring, uninspired subject lines and start experimenting (and testing) with those that invoke curiosity and make them stand out in your readers inbox.

Here are 10 ‘Fill in the Blank’ Email Subject Lines (that made me the most money).

#13. Add Social Sharing Buttons

Adding social sharing buttons to your emails and newsletters is an easy fix that can see great results.

The same concept with social proof ties in here as well. When friends and followers see your email offer being Tweeted or shared on Facebook, it automatically makes them far more interested because of the built in social proof.

This means you have the potential to snag a few new subscribers and potential customers without having to do any of the major heavy lifting yourself.

#14. Be Mobile Friendly

You know the stats by now, approximately 50% of people are viewing their email first on their mobile devices. You know that number is only going to rise over the coming years.

So, be aware of it now. Pre-read your emails on a mobile device and see how it looks. If everything is slightly off, then you’re in trouble before you even start.

Switch to a template that offers a responsive mobile friendly design and you won’t have to worry about losing readers and potential customers because your message isn’t getting through.

These fourteen tips should help you increase your email click through rates.

Remember, if each of these small tweaks increases your click through rates even a few fractions of percentages, all that adds up to something.

Higher click through rates and more money in your bank account.

How To Earn a Decent Income Blogging http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/how-to-earn-a-decent-income-blogging/ http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/how-to-earn-a-decent-income-blogging/#respond Mon, 28 Jan 2019 14:03:43 +0000 http://gentium.pixerex.com/wp/import/?p=138

I have been blogging as my main source of income for the past 7 years. It has been a long hard slog but in the past few years I have managed to launch successful blog after successful blog which have meant that I can quit the 9-5 and spend more time with my family & building a lifestyle I am happy with.

Don’t get me wrong I have made many mistakes along the way but once I knew what I was doing it became a lot easier and more enjoyable. Many of my friends have emailed me or called me to find out more about “What Jamie Does”, but it can be a little hard to sink in at first as to how you can actually make a real income from running a successful blog(s). Therefore I have decided to create this guide for my friends, family, email subscribers and anyone else who wants to start doing “What Jamie Does”.

This guide to making a money making blog is completely free. I don’t want anything for it – just for you to take action and do it, so many of my friends would love to do it but give up too soon, often when their big breakthrough might only be a few weeks.

I would write up the updates in the following days bits by bits so that you can get the information and it can sink in.

14 Unique Ways to Make More Money From Email Marketing http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/14-unique-ways-to-make-more-money-from-email-marketing/ http://marketingwithjusticejunior.com/14-unique-ways-to-make-more-money-from-email-marketing/#respond Mon, 28 Jan 2019 14:03:39 +0000 http://gentium.pixerex.com/wp/import/?p=137

So you want to make some money from your email list?

Welcome to the club!

In 2015, it has never been easier to start making some money online. And your list can be an absolutely massive source of income…

…if you do it right.

Today, I’m going to show you how you can start tapping your list to make more money from email marketing.

Buckle up, let’s do this.

Here are 14 ways to monetize your email list.

# 1. Build a Bigger List

Sort of obvious, yes. But also very true. It’s a lot easier to make more money off your email list when you have more people to sell to.

This means stepping up your game when it comes to your landing pages, opt-ins, and incentives. Don’t be lazy and “hope” people will be inspired to sign up, it doesn’t work that way.

Make joining your list so irresistible that anyone who comes to your website can’t wait to sign up.

One great way to make this happen is by adding PopUp Domination to your website.

# 2. Give Them Value

I preach this one a lot, but it’s so true. You have to give to your list.

Give them lots and lots of value. If that means using a product or two as a loss leader to show them you’re serious, then consider it. That also means not hitting them up with tons of sales pitches right from the start.

Make your readers feel like they are getting so much awesome stuff from you for free, and it will be a no-brainer when it comes time to buy when you offer a product.

# 3. Embrace Affiliate Marketing

Here’s the caveat with this: don’t spam your list!

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, realize that you have a huge opportunity to make money off your list with affiliate marketing.

When you come across a great product that’s complementary to the product or service you offer, tell your list about it.

# 4. Create Your Own Product

It’s never a bad idea to own something in your little corner of the internet. When you have a list of people who are already interested in you and what you have to say, looks like you have tailor made audience right there.

So use it. Dig into the data, ask your list about their struggles and come up with a high quality product to fix them.

Then, tell your list about the product. Tell them it will solve their problems. Since they already trust you, it becomes a much easier sell.

# 5. Re-target Abandoned Carts

If you’ve ever run an ecommerce site you’ll know you will have some shoppers who abandon their carts. The question is, are you really ok with that?

Didn’t think so.

Instead of calking it up to that’s the way it goes, re-target them. Follow up and ask them why they didn’t buy (sometimes it’s not why you think). Send them a link to get back to their cart, or even offer them a discount to get them shopping again.

# 6. Segment

Are you segmenting yet? We’ll you should start doing it now. Take it off the back burner.

When you segment your list you can start to understand who your “buyers” are and who are just along for the ride. These true fans are the people you want to target.

When you’ve got your buyers segmented into their own list, you can then easily approach them with upsells. Get an autoresponder that specifically targets the buyers on your list and you’ll see more money in your bank account.

# 7. Use Reviews

Another good way to sell without really selling directly is to do reviews. Target products and services that can help not only your, but also your readers businesses.

You can write in depth product reviews (with your honest opinion) and share those with readers and your list.

If you use the review as a way to show people how it improved your business and how it can improve theirs, then that’s valuable. A lot more valuable as opposed to just sending out a link to the product via email and asking people to buy.

# 8. Paid Subcriptions

A lot of people are getting traction by offering a paid subscription newsletter. You can market it to your list as a way to get even more premium content for a monthly fee.

The key here, obviously, is to make sure the premium content you’re giving them is truly premium. You want them to be able to feel right away that they’re getting their moneys worth.

You also want to make sure you’re not giving that content away anywhere else. So don’t just purpose some old blog posts as “premium” content, that’s an easy way to turn off your list.

# 9. Replay Promotions

If one of your email campaigns worked like gangbusters once, then why not use it again?

This is where testing and tracking comes in to play. You should be monitoring all of your campaigns and promotions to see what has given you the best success rates.

Once you do that, it’s very easy to run though your successful campaigns again. Chances are, you’ll pick up at least a few new buyers who weren’t ready to buy before but are now.

# 10. Improve Your Copy

You might have an amazing list and the perfect product or service to sell. But, if you crappy copy? You’re not going to get anywhere near the results that you want.

That’s where good copy comes into play. Work on improving your email sales copy (that includes the subject line) and you’ll see your purchase rates increase just on that alone.

If you don’t have the time or skill to get good at copy, outsource it to someone who can do it. You’ll see that the costs associated will come back in new buyers.

# 11. Share Past Posts

More often than not, some of your greatest content is hardly ever seen on your site by new visitors. Solve that problem by incorporating some of your best posts into your emails.

Doing this does a couple of things. It gets back to the idea of adding a bunch of value to your list. By sharing posts you know they would get something out of you’re building a good relationship with your list.

Plus, if you have reviews and ads in your posts, these new views will increase the chances of clicks, bringing in more revenue for you.

Remember, your own content comes first.

# 12. Have a Balance

The most well run email lists are those that have a balance and manage the expectations of their subscribers. You’re never going to succeed if you fall too far one way or the other when it comes to selling and not.

That’s where the balance comes into play. Let your readers know from the get go what they can expect with your list, and don’t bombard them with unexpected sales pitches. That’s a very good method to use if you want more unsubscribes.

Instead focus first on offering value and building relationships, and then start slipping in those offers and promotions you know will help your readers.

# 13. Offer Coaching

Your readers come to your site generally because they need help or want to learn something from you, from your own skill set.

So why aren’t you capitalizing on that? You should be. Chances are there will be a handful of people on your list who will gladly pay you for your advice, knowledge and help.

Create a quick outline on how your coaching will work and offer it to your list. Tell them you’ll take only a handful of people on a limited time offer. The results might end up surprising you.

# 14. Surprise them With Free Stuff

Everyone likes surprises. And everyone loves surprises that involves free stuff.

So, use that idea with your list. Create a couple of pieces of content that you know will appeal directly to your subscribers and help them out.

Then offer up that free content as a “surprise bonus” every few weeks. Your list will end up loving your free gifts and it will go a long way towards really solidifying a positive trusting relationship.

There you have it, 14 ways to make more money from email marketing.

If you try even just a handful of these tips on your email list, you’re going to start seeing results.

Remember, always take the pulse of your list to be sure you’re giving them the content they want. Once you do that, it’s going to be a lot easier to make money with your email marketing because you’ll know what to offer.

It doesn’t take much selling (if you do it the right way) before you’ll have a list that adds money to your bank account on a regular basis.
